Notebook:
The idea for my notebook
Using Illustrator, I designed the front and the back to be what I sketched before. I made the L red so that it cuts all the way through, and I made my name and the smiley face black so it just engraves into the notebook. I changed the font of my name to look like handwriting because I really liked that style and I wanted to keep it pretty simple. I also turned down the brightness so the colors could all be seen easier.

Water Bottle:
The idea for my Water Bottle
Using Illustrator I created a box that was 5" by 8" and made my design in there. For the picture, I used a picture of me and my sister. I outlined the photo on an iPad and then deleted all the color. I didn't add any text or other pictures because I liked how it looked. It is with black ink so that it doesn't go all the way through the water bottle, and it just engraves it.

What I learned:
During these projects I learned that it is key to follow all of the steps exactly what they say to do and make sure that you don't skip any steps because it is hard to go back and fix it later. I also learned to make your projects exactly what you want it to say or look like, and think about it a lot before you start. Also, ask questions along the way because if you do something wrong, you sometimes have to start over, which takes a lot of time.
